A few weeks back I was rumbling about monotonous drawings that were slowing me down. this page shows what I was fighting. Men in columns pulling ropes. Necessary for the story but not the most facinating thing to draw... again and again...The top panels were some of the more unpleasent I have had to draw. Poor Sharl is put to use moving the horse carcases as part of the punishment detail. Fortunately his uniform shirt is already ruined.
Panel 3 is one of the better perspective pictures I have done as are the last 2. I stil need to work on my horses though. The gun is indeed as large as it looks. the inspiration for this chapter was the story of an infantry column moving a huge field gun in the Battle of First Manassas. I got the dimentions the major rattled off in the middle right column straight from my source. that was a big gun.
I was surprised to find out that the company is keeping me in Houston until Monday next week. As I thought I was going back on Friday (And would have the weekend to prep the next comic) I only brought 3 weeks of comics for me to be able to update. Consequently, next week will be late. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will get the thing up as soon as I can.
Well time for bed. Let me know what you are thinking of the recent pages. the forum has been failrly dead.
